1. Domestic Iron Ore Processing & Industrial Ecosystem

Rather than permitting low-value raw ore shipments or leaving critical mineral deposits dormant, NVF is partnering with technical universities, geologists, and clean-tech engineering consortia to formulate an eco-conscious domestic smelting roadmap. By deploying low-emission electric arc technologies fueled by renewable capacity, Sri Lanka can produce structural steel, construction rebar, and industrial tools locally—generating an estimated 10,000+ stable, dignified engineering and fabrication careers for rural youth.

2. Marine Fisheries Value Chain & National Canning Infrastructure

Sri Lanka spends over $50 million annually importing canned fish, despite boasting fertile maritime feeding grounds. NVF works with coastal artisanal fishing federations to establish community-owned refrigerated supply corridors and modular hygienic canning factories. This keeps value in coastal villages, guarantees fresh, mercury-tested protein for schoolchildren, and fortifies national food sovereignty.

3. Fair-Trade Export Clusters for Differently-Abled Artisans

Differently-abled citizens face systemic barriers to formal employment. NVF operates specialized cottage incubators that combine ergonomic production workspaces with modern digital fabrication tools. Artisans produce certified organic handloom textiles, sculptured woodcraft, and sustainable botanical packaging destined for high-margin European and North American ethical luxury markets.
