Investing in the True Wealth of the Nation

A nation’s ultimate strength resides not in concrete highways or foreign loans, but in the health, dignity, and intellectual capability of its people. For decades, poverty in rural Sri Lanka has compelled thousands of vulnerable mothers to seek low-wage domestic servitude abroad, tearing the social fabric of rural villages and leaving children without maternal care.

Nature View Foundation’s Human Capital pillar creates systemic safety nets and transformative ladders of opportunity—ensuring every child, woman, elder, and athlete in our communities has the resources to thrive with dignity.

Key Action Areas

1. Dignified Digital Incomes for Rural Women

Foreign remittances from housemaids come at immense human cost—broken families, child neglect, and physical abuse abroad. NVF establishes village digital micro-hubs with high-speed internet and ergonomic workstations. Young mothers and daughters undergo 6-month intensive bootcamps in remote bookkeeping, digital translation, graphic illustration, and data annotation—earning sustainable incomes in US Dollars or LKR while staying safely with their families.

2. Senior Citizen Dignity & Intergenerational Mentorship

Elderly citizens often face neglect as extended family structures weaken. NVF honors senior citizens as revered custodians of heritage. Our “Silver Guides” initiative pairs retired headmasters and craftsmen with young students, revitalizing community respect and providing purposeful stipends for elder participants.

3. Community Sports & Ayurvedic Preventive Health

Talented rural athletes rarely receive the nutrition, coaching, or biomechanical support needed for international competition. NVF sponsors district athletic academies providing free equipment, professional physical trainers, and sports nutrition. Complementing this, our traditional medicine initiative protects native flora and revitalizes indigenous Ayurvedic preventive regimens, curbing lifestyle non-communicable diseases (diabetes, hypertension) without costly pharmaceutical dependency.
